Bangkok Rising and Thai Powerlifting Federation are proud to present our first ever Women’s Barbell Workshop!
All women are welcome to join us in a day of lifting, learning, fundraising, and celebrating women’s strength.
The workshop will be taught by some of Thailand’s top-ranked female powerlifters and Thai Powerlifting Federation coaches. They’ll teach you how to safely and correctly perform the 3 main lifts: squat, bench press and deadlift. All levels are welcome to join - whether you’re a complete beginner or an avid powerlifter, this is for you!
This event is part of Bangkok Rising’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. 100% of the proceeds will go to Freedom Restoration Project. FRP is a charity for women and children who are abused, trafficked or live in other at-risk situations. It runs prevention and support programs to combat domestic violence and its effects in migrant communities on the Thai-Myanmar border. 1:00pm – 2:00pm: Finding the tightness at the starting position.
2:00pm – 3:00pm: Execution of the deadlift.
3:00pm – 4:00pm: Practical application and Q&A.
